Ingwaz (ᛜ or ᛝ) is named for Ing — an ancient Germanic god of fertility, peace, and the domestic hearth, later associated with the Vanir deity Freyr. Unlike the warrior gods of Odin and Thor, Ing represents the sacred masculine in its peaceful, generative aspect: the inner fire that sustains life, the warmth of the hearth, the fertility that makes abundance possible.
