What are runes?

Runes come from the Elder Futhark, the ancient Norse alphabet of 24 symbols plus one blank rune. Each rune is both a letter and a symbol, carrying the Norse understanding of nature and fate. For centuries, people have cast rune stones to ask questions and seek guidance on choices and direction.

Single rune vs three-rune readings

Odin's Eye, the single-rune draw, suits quick insight: a yes/no question or guidance for the day, answered by one rune. The Three Norns spread lays runes in past, present and future positions — ideal for untangling a troubling matter. Runes may appear upright or reversed; a reversed rune usually points to blocked energy or something that needs inner reflection.

Tips for a better reading

Settle your mind first and condense your question into one specific sentence — vague questions get vague answers. Avoid asking the same question repeatedly in a single day, and don't be discouraged by a rune you dislike: it marks a direction to watch, not a fixed outcome. Readings are for reference only; the choice is always yours.

FAQ

Do I need to prepare anything before a reading?

Just find a quiet moment, take a few deep breaths, and focus on what you want to ask — no tools or rituals needed. Hold your question in mind, press and hold the stone for two seconds, and the runes will be drawn for you.

Can I ask the same question over and over?

It's not recommended. Tradition holds that recasting the same question dilutes the clarity of the answer. If the result confuses you, try asking from a different angle, or come back in a few days.

What does a reversed rune mean?

Some runes can appear reversed, usually meaning their energy is blocked, delayed, or turned inward. It is not a “bad result” — it's a reminder that this force needs to be seen in a different way.

Are my reading results saved?

No. Each reading only lives on the current page and disappears when you refresh or leave; you can save the poster to your device if you want to keep it. We never record your questions or results.
