Calculating today's almanac…
The traditional Chinese almanac (Tong Shu) is a day-by-day life guide: based on the sexagenary cycle, the twelve day officers, and symbolic stars, it marks which activities each day favors or disfavors — weddings, moving, business openings, travel, and more. This tool calculates it daily, with Wealth/Joy/Fortune god directions and Pengzu taboos included.
Tell us the activity and your time window, and the engine screens every day in range: it first matches days whose "suitable" list includes your activity, then removes dates that clash with your zodiac sign, and can keep weekends only. Results are ranked Best, Runner-up, and Recommended — no more flipping through the almanac page by page.
Do's and don'ts are distilled from traditional calendrics — a reference for planning, not a hard rule. Don't panic over an "everything inauspicious" day; for big events, shortlist a few lucky days and decide alongside real-world factors like weather and holidays.
Completely free, no account needed. Daily do's & don'ts, lucky hours, custom date search, and lucky-day posters are all free.
From traditional calendrics: the day's stem-branch pillars, the twelve day officers, the ruling deity, and symbolic stars together determine suitable and avoidable activities, plus clash signs and directions.
Every day clashes with one zodiac sign (e.g. "clashes with Rat"). Enter your sign when searching and dates that clash with you are removed automatically, so you don't pick a day that works against you.
It means no day in that window meets all your conditions. Widen the time range, turn off "weekends only", or drop the zodiac filter and search again.
