What Is an Aura?
The aura is the bioelectromagnetic energy field that surrounds and interpenetrates all living beings. Modern scientific instruments — particularly GDV (Gas Discharge Visualization) cameras and Kirlian photography — can detect and photograph variations in this field. Spiritual traditions worldwide have described it for millennia: the "nimbus" of Western religious art, the "prana body" of yoga, the "qi field" of Chinese medicine. Each layer of the aura reflects a different aspect of your being — physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual — and these layers each carry characteristic colors that can be read by trained sensitives or special cameras.
Red Aura
Physical energy, passion, survival: Red in the aura indicates strong life force energy, physical vitality, and connection to earthly experience. Bright, clear red suggests passionate, grounded, physically energetic individuals. Muddy or dark red can indicate suppressed anger, obsessive tendencies, or unresolved survival fears.
Orange Aura
Creativity, emotions, sexuality: Orange indicates creative vitality, emotional openness, and strong sensual/sexual energy. Clear orange belongs to naturally warm, creative, emotionally expressive people. Muddy orange can indicate addictive patterns or unprocessed emotional wounds.
Yellow Aura
Intelligence, optimism, mental clarity: Yellow around the head indicates active mental energy, intellectual curiosity, and playful optimism. Clear, bright yellow is the color of natural teachers, intellectuals, and joyful personalities. Pale or murky yellow can indicate mental overthinking or fear-based anxiety.
Green Aura
Healing, growth, heart energy: Green is the color of the heart chakra — love, compassion, healing ability, and natural affinity for growth. Emerald green is frequently seen around healers, doctors, and those called to service. Dark green can indicate jealousy or possessiveness; yellow-green around the heart suggests conditional love.
Blue Aura
Communication, truth, calm: Blue indicates strong communicative ability, truthfulness, and a calm, reliable nature. Royal blue belongs to clairvoyants and those with strong third eye connection. Pale blue can indicate sensitivity and idealism; muddy blue can suggest fear of self-expression or dishonesty.
Violet/Purple Aura
Spirituality, intuition, high ideals: Violet and purple indicate strong spiritual awareness, intuitive development, and connection to higher consciousness. Often seen around those on active spiritual paths, healers, and intuitives. Indigo is associated with deep wisdom and psychic ability.
White Aura
Purity, spiritual protection, divine connection: White, particularly as a surrounding glow or as white flecks, indicates spiritual protection, purity of intention, and divine guidance. Often seen during or after deep meditation, prayer, or periods of spiritual breakthrough.
